The principals of Pinnacle First Financial Group had prior experience in the investment field and knew the business processes required for their new business endeavor, however, Pinnacle First was unfamiliar with the technology requirements necessary to open new offices to accommodate eight to ten employees.

Customer Challenges:
Pinnacle First Financial Group was slated to open their new offices in January 2009 to accommodate nine employees. They did not know their technology needs; through an in-depth meeting to discuss in detail their business processes a business solution was designed to accommodate all their technology requirements. This entailed the complete design of systems that enabled their employees/consultants to work remotely with requirements to ensure security to maintain and secure financial information. This plan included servers, software, licenses, workstations, laptops, printers and other hardware along with a program that ensured secured on-site and off-site backup of data and a Business Continuation Plan in case of a disaster. Another requirement was a telephone system that would accommodate at least ten offices. Through our discovery meeting it was apparent that all systems needed to be designed to be scalable for future growth. New Age Digital’s experience in being able to accurately access and identify requirements and extensive knowledge in the technology field were of essence in meeting the client’s needs.

“New Age Digital was referred through personal affiliations; I knew their reputation and trusted them as individuals that they would do their best to accommodate our personal and business needs. New Age Digital provided all technology and data storage needs as well as protection for catastrophic failure potential. We met in the very first stages of planning on December 17, 2008 and our business plan called to be open and ready for business mid January 2009. Not only did we need a complete network system we also needed the means to finance the technology purchases required for starting this new business. New Age Digital worked closely with us and their suppliers to achieve a leasing agreement that was designed to meet our needs, these leases included a business phone system, computer hardware to include PCs and Servers, along with the software and licenses required to get our business open and operational. New Age Digital secured the domain names for Pinnacle First so we could not only have our website developed but also to accommodate our own Exchange Server that enables company email for all staff that meets regulatory requirements. New Age Digital hosted the company email on their own servers until all equipment was in place to accommodate our complete business requirements. Equipment, software and licenses were not ordered until 1/20/09 due to the time involved in verifying a new company startup with the leasing companies; phone systems and phone lines were installed by January 23rd and internet services were complete by January 27th. Pinnacle First was able to conduct business using personal laptops, wireless cards and some equipment loaned to them by New Age Digital until all equipment was delivered complete with operating systems, software and licenses installed ready to go on February 17th, less than thirty days after equipment orders were placed with vendors. All of our equipment is being monitored 24/7 to ensure proper systems operation, we also have New Age Digital’s specialized Backup Disaster Recovery System in place that guarantees our company can operate under any disaster that may occur having on-site backups as well as off-site backups on both the East Coast and the West Coast done daily. Pinnacle First can be back in operation within 24 hours even if our buildings were to burn down or a theft of all of the equipment occurred.”
